Left Me In Guilty Tears
Like hundreds of thousands of women in my country, I had an arranged marriage. I met my husband just twice before the wedding. Though my contemporary parents encouraged me to go on dinners with him, share conversations on phone, I refused. Even when he called up, a week before the engagement, requesting my company to his friend’s wedding, I cooked up a convoluted story and excused myself. I had no desire of knowing him, spending time with him; I wanted to get married, to whom, it didn’t matter.
He was busy preparing for the party, I woke up to a familiar dampness in between my legs. My heart dropped again, it was yet to grow immune to this accustomed loss. But, I was not the least shocked, I prayed against it day in and day out, but it was destined to happen. I was finally released of the false hope and relentless prayers. While he, oblivious to the recent developments in the bed, was making arrangements to celebrate our sixth wedding anniversary, I mourned my fourth miscarriage. His voice echoed, as he spoke to the caterers in the hall, as I rinsed the blood off my body in the washroom. On knowing, he offered to cancel the party, I insisted not to. I wanted to escape the despair, I didn’t want to spend yet another evening curled up on the couch, grieving over another child, the fifth one who was denied life - yes, fifth. I smiled as much as I could, greeted every guest amiably, and was cautious while serving my mother-in-law. But my contrived affectations were too amateur to cheat her seasoned eyes.
“She did it again, didn’t she?” I heard her speaking bitterly to my husband in the next room, assuming I was far enough. He didn’t say a word in response, neither was I expecting anything better from him - I had gathered him as a malleable ‘mamma’s boy’ just in a couple of days into the marriage. “I will give her one more chance, failing which you divorce her and marry a woman who can bless this family with a successor.”
“It’s too late Maa, you should go home.” that was all he could come up with.
“Why are you driving me out now? So you can sleep with her? What good will it do to sleep with that barren woman anyway?”
“She is my wife, Maa. She deserves to be treated with respect. You make it sound like it’s her fault, but it is she who is suffering one miscarriage after another. I have decided to put an end to her hardships, for once and for all. If it works for her, I am contemplating on adoption. Please save your arguments, I will only seek approval from her. The opinions of the world at large has no bearing on me. And if you should at all be interested in your son’s conjugal life, let me tell you, I don’t make love to my wife to make babies.”
While he combed his hair, I sat on the bed, pretending to read a book, stealing his glances through the mirror, wondering if he had always been this handsome, and cursing my stupidity for not noticing. It was the night of my sixth wedding anniversary, but a part of me wished I was not married to him already, if only I could be granted a chance to woo him, impress him into loving me, court him for years and marry him again that day. Realizing it was too late, I let myself fall hopelessly in love with a man I had been given away to years ago, through the old fashioned system of arranged marriage. It was an arrangement I truly loathed as a teenager, but I thanked my stars that I landed up with him. Even if the wheel of time agrees to turn itself around, I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Madonna Calls Her Revealing Met Gala Look
Madonna is an “Unapologetic Bitch.” She says what she wants and wears what she likes. But having the confidence to walk the red carpet at the Met Gala in a sheer lace ensemble has a number of people questioning the singer’s affinity for revealing looks and insisting that it’s time for the 57-year-old to dress more modestly.
At Monday night’s “Manus x Machina: Fashion In an Age of Technology” event, Madonna attended with Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, who made her a black thong bodysuit and gown hybrid that flashed both her breasts and her behind. And showing that much skin outraged an array of Twitter users. The comments came in thick and fast, with Piers Morgan even telling the star she should “put it away.” But Madonna isn’t having it.
“We have fought and continue to fight for civil rights and gay rights around the world,” she wrote on Instagram. “When it comes to women’s rights we are still in the dark ages. My dress at the Met Ball was a political statement as well as a fashion statement. The fact that people actually believe a woman is not allowed to express her sexuality and be adventurous past a certain age is proof that we still live in an age-ist and sexist society. I have never thought in a limited way and I’m not going to start.”

Dakota Johnson’s Green Glittery Eyes
In a crowd full of a shining celebrities, Dakota Johnson, who is normally seen with much less drastic makeup, turned heads at Monday’s Met Gala with a powerful style. The look, which was created by Pati Dubroff for Laura Mercier, showed off an ’80s-inspired look with a pop of green color and glitter on her eyelids to really stand out in the evening. According to Dubroff, this romantic look is not a very hard one to re-create at home. Here are her exact steps for piecing together Johnson’s lively makeup application:
- After creating a flawless complexion using both foundation and concealer on Dakota, Dubroff lined her upper lash line and lower corner with Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eyeliner in Black Ebony ($25).
- To make the eyes sparkle, Dubroff applied Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Petal Pink($25) on Dakota’s inner corner and lid, adding a dash of green glitter to the lid.
- To finish Dakota’s eyes, Dubroff applied a pair of Ardell Demi Wispies Black False Eyelashes ($5) and a coat of black mascara.
- Finally, Dubroff topped off the look with a “sweet pink lip” that accentuated her pop of green using the Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour in Petal Pink ($28).

Emma Watson's Met Gala Dress Might
A risky look pulled off with aplomb, the actress and Goodwill ambassador also used the steps of the Met as a platform for sustainability. As it turns out, her trousers were made entirely out of plastic bottles — because she’s eco-friendly like that.
The outfit came together thanks to a collaboration between Calvin Klein and Livia Firth (actor Colin Firth’s wife), who’s a self-describe eco-fashion activist and founder of Eco Age Ltd., a green consultancy firm.
UN Women Goodwill Ambassador @emmawatson rocks the #GreenCarpetChallenge in@CalvinKlein at the #MetGala 2016. We loved working with the team @calvinklein to create a look that is truly a perfect marriage of ethics and aesthetics. The body of the look is crafted from three different fabrics all woven from yarns made from recycled plastic bottles, the zippers are made from recycled materials and the inner bustier has been created using organic cotton #SustainableFashion #ManusXMachina #MetBall #30wears

Zac Efron Takes a Tumble While Filming an Iconic Baywatch Scene
It hasn't been the best week for Zac Efron. News broke on Monday that the actor split from his girlfriend of nearly two years, Sami Miró, but even before that, Zac appeared to have a rough time on the set of the Baywatch movie. While shooting a classic running-on-the-beach scene on Friday in Tybee Island, GA, a shirtless Zac tripped and fell behind his costars Dwayne Johnson, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, Alexandra Daddario, and Jon Bass. While it isn't clear if the fall was for real or a comedic stunt for a scene, one thing's for sure: it looked like it hurt. Keep reading to see Zac biting it on the beach, then check out his hottest shirtless photos.... READ MORE

Super-girls No Need any Time For Love In ‘Bizarro’
Kara visits to Adam, who’s been worried about where she had gone. Kara breaks up with him before they’ve even properly started dating because its easier to deal with her two lives without a distraction. So being a superhero wins over love. Alex storms Maxwell’s offices and arrests him. He’s taken to the DEO and locked up. Hank tells Alex off for acting so rashly but Alex says she couldn’t stand Maxwell threatening her family. Bizarro then kidnaps James; he manages to warn Supergirl using the handy SOS alarm hidden in his watch and she arrives on the scene. They have another fight while Alex turns up at the scene armed with an ion-charged gun. She can’t get a clean shot but Kara tells her to fire anyway and she hits Bizarro, who’s later taken back to the DEO. Kara wants to help Bizarro because it’s not her fault and feels guilt when they put her down. This scene highlights who the real enemy is and shows Kara’s determination to go after him - Maxwell Lord.
Like the last time, Kara and Adam’s date goes off with a great start - they even kiss! But things very quickly turn sour when Bizarro literally whisks Kara away - yes, Kara, not Supergirl. They have a laser-eyes battle before Kara tries to talk her down but it ends up in more fighting. The DEO arrive and Alex shoots Bizarro with Kryptonite; her skin begins to degrade showing who she really is. Later, Kara realises that Maxwell knows about Supergirl’s real identity because Bizarro came after Kara, not Supergirl. Hank explains that Bizarro is a mirror image of Supergirl and the Kryptonite makes her stronger.
<<<<<Kara and Adam’s date goes off to a good start but it’s unfortunately interrupted with breaking news - the National City Tramway has a mechanical failure so people have been left hanging over the bay. Kara makes up an excuse to leave and Supergirl arrives to save the day, but the doppelgänger turns up too. “We kill Supergirl,” says the lookalike as she initiates a fight. But Kara manages to break away to save the tram when it starts falling, while the lookalike watches. The next day, Cat decides to name the doppelgänger ‘Bizarro’. Winn figures out who ‘Bizarro’ is - It has taken Maxwell seven tries to create the perfect Supergirl doppelgänger as he’s been claiming comatose girls to experiment on.
*It’s already been established in Supergirl that the superhero has no real chance at a love life. It’s not because our heroine is not attractive or she isn’t insanely smart; it’s because she just doesn’t have the time. Between fetching Cat’s coffee during the day to fighting crime at night, there is no time in Kara’s life for dating. But nevertheless, Kara still gives it a go with some interesting results.
*This week opens with a flashback to three months ago at Lord Technologies. Maxwell is seen injecting a strange substance into a comatose girl. We’re back to the normal timeline where Lord is calling his new experiment, an exact replica of Supergirl, his perfect creation. Over at the DEO Hank, Alex and Supergirl try and figure out who the mysterious blonde lookalike is. Hank says that it couldn’t be a Maxwell Lord creation because he a comatose girl a few weeks ago - and Maxwell isn’t a God.
*At work, Winn is finally talking to Kara again but the shocker comes in the form of Cat, who turns up to the office with her own coffee. Wait - scrap that. Cat turns up to the office with her own coffee AND has one for Kara. What’s going on? Why the sudden change? Well, it turns out Cat is being nice to Kara because she’s going on a date with her son Adam. Cat calls an editorial meeting to think of headlines for the Supergirl-2 story. After everyone comes up with terrible ideas Kara speaks up saying that it could be an imposter and Cat takes on that angle. Kara, James and Winn take a trip down to their secret lair to try and figure out who this imposter is. Over at Lord Technologies, Maxwell is feeding negative ideas of Supergirl into the doppelgänger’s brain to make it her aim to kill National City’s hero.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Uber meltdown fired by hospital
>>>>>>A Miami neurologist whose profanity-laced rant at an Uber driver became a viral sensation has gotten her walking papers. Jackson Health System officials released a statement Friday saying that fourth-year resident Anjali Ramkissoon, 30, would be terminated, the Miami Herald reported. The hospital’s statement said she has a right to appeal her termination. The video, shot in Miami’s Brickell area and posted to YouTube on Jan. 19, shows the apparently drunk, shorts-clad neurosurgeon trying to commandeer another Uber customer’s ride. She is seen hitting the Uber driver in the face and screaming profanities and insults at him. After landing on the ground following a tussle in which she tried,,,,>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
A Miami doctor caught on camera attacking an Uber driver in January was fired Friday, CBS Miami reports. Anjali Ramkissoon, the woman at the center of the viral video, is entitled to an appeal, Jackson Health System said in a statement. The fourth-year neurology resident was placed on administrative leave shortly after video of the incident went viral on the Web. The incident took place in the early morning hours of Jan. 17 in the Brickell area of Miami. The video was uploaded to YouTube by a poster named Juan Cinco, who said he had called for an Uber driver but when the driver arrived "out of nowhere the girl in the video gets in the backseat of his car and won't get out.>>>>>>>
Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives. It's a video that's been viewed almost 7 million times on YouTube. It's a video that caused Miami doctor Anjali Ramkissoon to appear on ABC's "Good Morning America" to apologize for her behavior. It's a video that has now gotten her fired. Ramkissoon's employer, Jackson Health System, has let her go. The hospital offered me this curt statement: "Jackson Health System is moving forward with the termination of Dr. Anjali Ramkissoon, a resident doctor. She is entitled to an appeal process." Ramkissoon admitted that she was drunk that fateful Miami night. She said she'd just broken up with her boyfriend
